7 months!!

Another month has flown by! Seriously it seems like just yesterday that I was writing her 6-month old post!! Time is going way too fast! I need a pause button!! 

This month there have been lots of changes! You are sitting up by yourself. Not only that, but you can sit yourself up--not just Mommy placing you in a sitting position! You love to sit on your knees which is too cute. You also sit in a "Z-sit", so I say you're my little cheerleader in training. 

You are pulling up! This freaks us out a little because of all the hard floors in our house. But it obviously doesn't bother you! You've fallen a few times, but it's not a deterant. You are right there trying to see above you're head. You also plant your feet underneath you--you just really want to stand! 

You are also finally doing a real crawl. This just happened about three days ago. But you are up off your belly and crawling on your hands and knees. It's so previous! Sometimes you'll get on one knee and one foot and try to go, but you haven't quite mastered that yet. 

You still love to eat! You have now added fruits to your duet. You love apples, pears, and bananas! You also tried peaches, but weren't a fan. Another food you didn't enjoy was squash! You won't touch it. Your appetite has lessened some, but you are still a great eater. We've also been doing water bottles which you seem to like--not sure if you're more into drinking them or biting them though! :/

You are turning into a very social creature! You love to "talk" to us! You also want to make your presence known! You have started babbling and have done some, "dadada" as well as "bababa."

You smile so big at your family members. You will also give kisses to us--love it!! You enjoy laughing at your sister and so it daily--she always seems to get you giggling! (And nothing beats a baby laugh--one of the sweetest sounds!) You love to try and grab our faces. And you also like to pay our chests while being held. Seriously loving all the interactions were getting!! 

Favorite things this month--you love toys like your sister has. You think these are far better than your baby toys. You will pass up any of your toys to get to a lalaloopsy or mini princess. You like watching TV with your sister, especially Team Umizoomi and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You like being outside. You also like being able to crawl and explore. You also like the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mousr Clubhouse--it has been my go-to for screaming fits in the car a few times! 

Dislikes: being left alone in your Exersaucer...if people walk out of your sight, you aren't happy. Being strapped in your car seat at night is still not a favorite--guess Mommy has spoiled you a little, but you just want to cuddle! Like I mentioned before, not a fan of squash or peaches. And also don't like being forced to crawl to someone when you're tired! (You just want to be lazy and have them come pick you up!)

I cannot believe seven months have gone by so quickly! I really want to push pause in you, my sweet baby. You are always happy and make my job as a mom pretty easy. You light up a room and have basically everyone in the family wrapped around your finger! We love you and we love to love on you! You get so many kisses from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. You are such a bright light in this often dark world! We love you, BabyLove! 

Pumpkin Patch 2014

So we finally had time to do one of my favorite fall family activities--visiting the pumpkin patch. This year we visited Cedar Hill Farms in Hernando. It was awesome and we will definitely be back! Might even have to do a repeat trip this year! 

We were such newbies going in, since we'd never been we really didn't know what to expect. But this place is huge and has everything! We forgot our stroller so we carried Calla the entire time and ended up carrying Augusta a good but too when she got tired. We had a blast though. Next time we go though we will def bring the stroller and will also plan around NapTime a little better so we can stay longer and do more. 

Well right after we paid and had a small photo op with pumpkins, Augusta did a face plant over a giant root into the dirt! Poor baby, it was everywhere, including in her mouth! But we got her dusted off and she didn't gag on the dirt (which was a win in and of itself) and I'm happy to report it was the only mishap of the day. 

Augusta loved the huge playground area! There was a swing set with slides and a tree house. There were tire swings of all sizes, and also some huge tube slides. She loved them all! She said her favorite were the tube slides, which she claimed to be scared of at first but ended up doing multiple times. 

We went to the farm area next. Augusta so wasn't into the animals. We didn't even look at half of them. We tried to get her to play in the corn pit, but she told us, "I don't want to play in there because it will mess my hair up." Crazy girl!! 

We went to get on the hayride to the pumpkin patch next. We stopped on the way for a brief photo sesh, and Augusta had a brief meltdown over not wanting to take a picture versus me only taking pictures of Calla. She didn't like option two so she got back in the pics even though she was sobbing. 

The hayride out the the pumpkin patch was fun. There was a patch of jack-I-latern pumpkins and one of pie pumpkins. Augusta wanted a small pumpkin, so we picked a pie pumpkin for each girl. Augusta was so funny making her way around the patch a few times, searching each row, and finally selecting the perfect pumpkin to take home with her. 

Calla passed out on the return hayride--so sweet and sleepy. She was a good sport and hung with us until the end. Then we paid for our pumpkins and headed home! We were all exhausted and Augusta said , "Mommy, I'm so tired. I'm gonna fall asleep in the car." :) 

Fall Break 2014

We'll Fall Break 2014 is in the books--isn't it nice to still get a fall break? It was a great time of family fun and recharging our batteries! To me, it has seemed to drag on because I actually only worked a half day the day before break started and a half day the day it ended so work has seemed kinda strange. I haven't had a full week in a while, and though I hate missing my school babies, if  I'm getting extra time with my family I'll take it! 

Fall break started off nicely when we got Chase to play hookey with us on Friday. We were excited to have a family day since it had been awhile--we miss Daddy during football season! First point was Augusta's first haircut!! She was such a big girl and was awesome for Lacy! Mommy was a little worried but she proved my worries were nothing but silly. She was so good, Lacy gave her three suckers! Something she's not soon to forget! And our sweet hairdresser friend didn't even charge us for the cut! We love Lacy! 

We also took a family shopping trip to wal-mart after the big haircut, and Calla rode in a shopping cart seat for the first time! She's a big girl! 

Friday night started the beginning of a weekend of Mims and Pa-Paul staying with us. We were excited to host them for the first time in our new house! Since both guys do Friday night football in one form or another, we had a girls' night Friday. My baby sis even joined us!   

Saturday the guys had football again, this time working the Ole Miss and Alabama football game. Since it was so crazy in town, more so than usual with the addition of College Game Day's filming, we headed to Collierville for a shopping excursion! 

First stop was lunch at Peppers and then we headed to Target in Olive Branch! I adore target--could spend way too much time and money there but thankfully I didn't! Next we headed to Hobby Lobby! I got a few decorating items I needed and that was about all we did! But best part of the trip was our stop at Baskin Robbins on the way home! Goo is a rainbow sherbet lover just like her Mommy and Mims! 

Sunday was Sunday school and church--I had nursery duty, but the only baby I had was Calla. Still enjoyed it though! After church was a family lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. So yummy, but so busy on a Sunday after game day! The rest of the day was filled with relaxation at home! :)

Monday was another day off for me. I enjoyed it being lazy with my girls! I don't think we got out of our pajamas all day, and we were perfectly fine with that! :) 

Tuesday morning the girls both had an appointment. It was Calla's six month checkup and Augusta was getting her flu shot. Augusta was a model patient during her shot--which I was more worried about than the haircut! She let us hold her down and said, "Hey, owwww," When she got her shot. No tears! My baby is so grown up! She got a Doc McStuffins sticker and she was in heaven! 

Calla tipped the scales at 16 pounds, 10 ounces! And she was 26 inches long--she is my growing baby!! Dr. Sanford said she was great as far as milestones were concerned! Her growth was following a pretty curve and all organs sounded perfect! Ears and eyes were clear and beautiful! No teeth, but that's expected if she's anything like her sis. She also did great with vaccines. Cried, but stopped as soon as I was able to scoop her up!   

And with that, my fall break was concluded. It was so much fun to have that time with my family. So blessed to work in a job where I get things like fall break. And even more blessed to have a family that I love unconditionally and that they return that love! Happy, sappy girl over here!
