A Little Vent

So last night was on Epic Fail of the DVR kind! None of my shows recorded! And this would include the finale of White Collar!! Grrrr! I was sooooo beyond mad this morning when I checked and nothing was on there! And what makes it worse is I checked yesterday afternoon (Yes, I'm a little obsessed with making sure I get to see my shows) and they were set to record! This isn't the first time this has happened, and I would love to know the culprit so I could keep it from happening again. On the positive, I found replays of two of the four shows that were supposed to record...and one of those was White Collar! Thank goodness!

Moving on, I watch this week's episode of Gossip Girl yesterday and I have to say I'm so excited about Dair!!!!! (That would be Dan and Blair for those who don't watch GG) Finally! :D I have been waiting for them since last Christmas...not 2011, but 2010! Let's just hope we get them together uninterrupted for a bit. I know obstacles are going to be there bc where would be the drama if there weren't? But I'm so happy about this pairing! Yay!

Friday Funnies

And my all-time favorite...students asking me "Have you had your baby yet?" I want to respond with a sarcastic "Really?" and a face that would be the equivalent of this :l But I don't. I just answer with a yes and move on. But seriously...How would you respond of you were in my shoes?

Thankful Thursday

I'm feeling pretty blessed in my life right now, so I wanted to share all the great things in my life. I give thanks for these things daily, but writing them here is just like one more thank you note to God. So Lord, first off I thank you for sending your son to be our savior. For him dying and washing us of all our sins. Everything I am and all I have I owe to you.

I am so thankful for my family! I seriously think I have one of the best ones out there! I'm so thankful for my sweet Augusta, she enriches my life in so many ways. I never thought I could love a little human as much as I love her. It's really true what they say, " To be a mother is to have your heart exist outside of your body." (I'm actually getting teary as I type this). I'm also blessed with the best husband I could ever ask for, ever imagine. I know God placed him in my life and made us for each other, and it's so apparent in the little things from day to day. He's so loving and understanding and just goes above and beyond for our family. Our extended families are great as well! I love my parents and in-laws! They do so much for us and just live and support us in all we do! We're also blessed with great siblings, siblings in-law(?), further extended family, and close friends that are considered to be family! I'm so happy Augusta will grow up with all this love surrounding her! It's truly and amazing thing!

I'm also thankful for my job and my husband's job. We are lucky to have job stability in these times. Also we live in a great town...just the perfect size, with great people in it. I'm also thankful for my own health as well as my family's health. And also all the circumstances that surround my life in general!

Now that we've mentioned the big stuff, the things that I will always be thankful for no matter what, let's move on to some more specific things. Things and instances in which I've been thankful for certain things this past week of my life...

I'm so thankful that today is a beautiful 70+ degree day with a wonderful breeze blowing. Especially bc today was my day to have morning and afternoon car rider duty at school. And also bc I've been dying to get out and take Augusta for a stroll.

I'm thankful my husband has been doing the laundry so that I have pants to wear to work this week!

I'm thankful I haven't hit my alarm and then fallen back to sleep this week...if there was ever a week for it, this would be it! Idk why, but I'm exhausted!

In thankful for my crockpot bc it is beyond wonderful to have a meal cooked and ready when you get hone after work!

I'm also thankful for my DVR bc without it there would be no way I could keep up with all the shows I love!

So I didn't mean for this post to turn into a book, but I didn't wanna list all the little things I'm thankful for this week without mentioning those that I'll always feel beyond blessed to experience! (Next time it'll be shorter! )

It's that Time Again!

And by that I mean Baseball season is here! It's got to be one of the favorite seasons in our family! From watching Chase coach to cheering on the Chargers to socializing with my girls it is definitely one of my favorite times! And this season will be extra fun because we'll get to introduce Augusta to America's favorite pastime.

Since it wasn't too cold we went out last night to support the Chargers in their season opener. We only stayed for the first game, but that was enough because they ended up winning! Yay! Augusta also had a good time! She even made a new friend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just popping in to wish everyone a happy V-day! I have enjoyed getting to spend the day with my tiny valentine...all except having to take her to get her shots. I'm not going to lie, when she started crying I started too. It completely broke my heart! But she is doing great now. She's actually sleeping peacefully in my arms as I type. And I have to say the doctor gave her an A+! She's growing like she should be, meeting milestones, and right on track!!! Yay for Augusta!!! :)

Now were just waiting for our big valentine to come home! We have a special supper cooking for him and cannot wait to give him his surprise! But I'm going to run and cuddle with my Lovie. Hope everyone has a great night!

Weekend Review

I am always so ready for the weekends, and this one was no exception! I just love having my time off and being able to spend it however I wish! I especially enjoy getting to spend that time catching up with family and friends!

Friday Augusta and I had a girls' night in with my sister, Alyssa! We ordered in Japanese and I got her addicted to Once Upon a Time!!! :) I absolutely love when I introduce someone to a new show and they become a new fan. Mainly because it gives me another person to discuss the show with, but also because it's always good to expand the fan base. I mean more fans helps insure the shows I love will last awhile, right? Anyway, it was fun sister/aunt bonding time! Even Augusta enjoyed it....

Moving on to Saturday...I did something that I never thought I would enjoy, which was paint a canvas! My friend, Becca, had a painting party to belatedly celebrate her 30th. She had an artist come in and walk us through the steps of creating a work of art...and it was actually fun! It was nice to let my creative juices flow and socialize with some of my besties at the same time! If I was a better blogger and thought ahead, I would have taken pics throughout the painting process. But here are a few of my masterpiece! Ha!

Saturday night we also had dinner with Chase's parents and Augusta got in some bonding time with her grands! They just have so much love for our little sweetie, and I do enjoy seeing it! Augusta is surely blessed with so many people that love her! Here she is playing with her Mims!

Sunday was another great day! We went to church and had a great service! I also have to brag on how great Augusta did! No crying through the service...woo! (Sorry, I had to!) After church we had a big family lunch at Chase's Nana's house! We moved our traditional Sunday lunch out there since Chase, his dad, and brother were helping her with a painting project! While they were hard at work, the rest of us visited! I especially enjoyed getting to spend some time with Chase's Papaw (his great-grandfather) He's such a special man. We all just love him! Also there were Mims my sweet nieces! I was able to get some snuggles in with Mads and spend some time with Lani too!
